HOT SHOTS Program is designed to cater for your little one's first step's to becoming a basketball player
Packed with a lot of FUN, HOT SHOTS program gives children, parents and families a safe space to meet all year round playing basketball.
We have found after one session you will not be able to take the smile from your child's face and they can’t wait until their next training session or next game. Our cultivating environment is based on 3 core values, Culture, Character and Family. Our emphasis is on our members having fun, learning to be part of a team in a great sport and having confidence to achieve anything they want in life.
We have seen fast development from our last season players moving up into the older age group early due to their improved skillset and greater confidence in interacting with others.
All ages have 2 full competition seasons per year and each season is 2 terms of school.
It is wonderful that everyone can play all year around building a community basketball family. These memories will last a lifetime!
To play games every player needs a HOT SHOTS reversible uniform which you will order upon registration.
HOT SHOTS play with size 5 basketball. These can be purchased from Kmart, Big W or Rebel sports from $5 - $20 for trainings. Game balls are provided
To help your little ease into the HOT SHOTS group our friendly coaches are basketball gurus who love to motivate and inspire. Our coaches hold themselves to our associations STAR standards spreading their infectious energy with a nurturing personality.

Parent Basketball Duties |

Arrive 15 mins early and meet your coaches on allocated court |
JUNIORS | One parent from each team is required to do bench duty for every game. You will be rostered on at least twice a season |

The aim of not having 1 Champion team in HOT SHOTS is because we believe the day the kids start learning basketball in a team is the day they become one! |
A FUN DAY of Grand Final Games... Your child will play a fun game and receive an award on finals day including a sausage sizzle with drink and cake. A day you do not want to miss! |

You can apply if your child:
is a Queensland resident aged from 5 to 17 years (inclusive) at the time of application
did not receive a FairPlay voucher this calendar year
holds, or whose parent, carer or guardian holds, a valid Services Australia Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the child’s name on it. |
When registering your child to Underground Basketball League enter your FairPlay voucher number which will go towards participation fees |
Refer a Friend |

This incentive is a great way to get your friends involved and helping us grow our basketball association |
When you refer a friend and they register to play you receive $5 credit for the next season.

Competition Rules |
|---|
HOT SHOTS uniform must be worn on Saturdays for academy and games |
If you child's team is ahead by 20 points they must not play full court defence and must run back to the 3 point line |
Mercy rule applies if your child's team is winning by more than 25 points and points will stop being recorded on the score board. |
Players must be registered to Basketball Connect online to HOT SHOTS prior to taking the court for first game |
Failure to register with Basketball Connect will result in games forfeited by the association |
What happens once I register to play? |
