Our First History making team from Greater Springfield made their Debut 2022. A Team of 11 made up of local players, coach and manager went all in as the newest team in SQJBC. Finishing strong we beat the teams we lost to in first round placing 6th. We look forward to the challenge in QSL Youth League 2023. Thanks to our Head Coach behind these boys and the support team, we are very proud of all our boys the way the held themselves as Greater Springfield Pioneers

Eager to start the season our young team hit early challenges and mid season. Never the less these girls took the floor making a come back win finishing SQJBC strong. Our aim is to increase the number of girls in the game and entering a Team into the State Championship. We are thankful for our management team, athletes and their families for choosing Pioneers to represent.

Our U18 Boys team our First Fleet Finished Top 4 beating #1 Seeds Yarrabilba during regular rounds meeting them them again in Semis. Unfortunately the pioneers have more exploring to do within themselves after falling short in a good hard game. The Management team is excited for the boys as most have never played rep. The team is looking forward to seeing their growth be tested playing 2 games a day, staying together and experiencing life as an athlete during a Tournament. We wish our U18 Team all the best in their endeavours to win a championship for GSBA

Coming in fresh and raw this young team is lead by Coach Clayde and Cletz Amos. GSBA is excited to give opportunities to young athletes who have never experienced playing at the elite level. In the future we hope to build our girls program alongside strengthening our boys this season. Both Coaches have a wealth of knowledge and experiences, both currently apart of the FIBA National Programs for Samoa, Philippines and New Zealand. We wish our Team all the best for a successful campaign and a lot of fun!
